I have been blessed with rich experiences throughout my career in education. My strengths are school improvement planning and implementation especially for schools with a low SES status and professional development. With a strong background in data analysis, I empower staff with concrete knowledge to develop formative instructional assessment aligned clearly on what each student needs. My passion for developing a school and community network with strong ties to educational support only helps to build capacity for student learning and student success. It is important to surround yourself with positive, knowledgable and motivated people who share a common vision for children and life.
Specialties:Data Analysis, Educational Administration, Use of Technology in Education, Evaluation of Staff, Data-based Decision Making, Assessment, working along side the community to better educate all children.
Focused, collaborative and a visionary...all about children and how they can best learn.
About my family...One Sunday afternoon while at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, I went to the basement to get a bucket of ice. I couldn't help but notice a very handsome young man doing his laundry and I thought, "WOW!" and was compelled to call my mother and tell her that I had found the "man I was going to marry!" Silly me....well… fast forward and that summer we married and 42 years later have three wonderful adult children and 10 (including a set of twins). We spend our time doing wildlife rescue and dog transports getting dogs from kill shelters and moving them to nuturing support resuces until they can be adopted into their "forever home." We also enjoy boating and water sports.
Having transferred from Arkansas to Illinois over 20 years ago with my husband’s job, moving back home to Northwest Arkansas upon his retirement has been exciting and wonderful. The beauty of the mountains and the fog nestled in the valleys is so inspiring on my drive to school in the mornings. The people in Berryville welcomed us with open arms and for that we are so very grateful. We are finally back at home and we love it
